Artificial Intelligence Assisted Optimization of Radiation Therapy Process- Auto Contouring for Organ

Product Intro

The global burden of cancer and healthcare spending continues to escalate annually, with immense healthcare insurance costs and socioeconomic resources being expended on cancer treatment every year. Radiation therapy is one of the principal treatments for cancer, and it is estimated that about half of all cancer patients will undergo radiation therapy during their treatment regimen. Therefore, there is a critical need to enhance the efficiency of traditional radiation therapy methods through the application of technology. To minimize the time cost associated with delineating critical organs in radiation therapy, the existence of automated contouring software is of key importance. The development focus of this system includes innovative technologies that apply artificial intelligence to assist in radiation therapy, specifically aimed at improving image quality, and the fusion and delineation of critical organs in combined images, thereby offering an integrated solution for the delineation of critical organs and tumor targets prior to cancer radiation therapy. To boost medical capacity and continually expand the application of AI, the hospital is responsible for the development and validation of data, after which the technology is transferred to Changjia Intelligence Company. This company aids in acquiring medical device licenses for the products and assists in their subsequent promotion.

Product Intro

Artificial intelligence-assisted radiotherapy technology for automatic delineation of critical organs and tumor targets can fully automate the aforementioned processing without a user interface or user interaction. This technology also addresses the deficiencies in current radiation therapy planning software available in the market. Our team's unique technology in imaging and automated contouring integrates the advantages of 2D/3D algorithms and incorporates the Visual Transformer architecture for multidimensional image fusion techniques. Trained with a large volume of high-quality data labeled by specialists, our approach is more suited for medical imaging applications than general delineation algorithms, aiming to optimize the workflow of radiation therapy.
