CMUH is located in Taichung's North District, a central location with restaurants, shopping centers, parks, hotels, and transportation, all only an arm's length away. Only 15 minutes from Taichung Station and Taichung Park, CMUH is easily accessible for foreign travelers to visit.
Furthermore, when staying in one of the many hotels around CMUH, being close to the train station makes it easy to travel and explore the rest of Taiwan. Surrounding the hospital are a variety of restaurants that range from international fast food chains to more local Taiwanese cuisine to satisfy anyone's food craving.
Within a 5 minute walking distance is Yizhong Night Market, known for delicious street food and souvenir shopping, as well as Chung Yo Department Store for more high-end shopping needs. Additional attractions include Zhongzheng Park and Chung Shan Performance Hall, both across the street from the hospital. The hospital itself has two Starbucks coffee shops and 7-11 convenient stores, making it easy for travelers to get coffee, tea, meals, and snacks at any time of day. Many banks are close by for easy foreign currency exchange and ATMs are available in most of our building lobbies.
