Doctor Jiunn-Horng Chen specializes in arthritis and allergy, including: immunological disease ( systemic lupus erythematosus, xerosis, Dermatomyositis, scleroderma), various arthritis (Rheumatoid arthritis, spondylitis ankylosans, gout, degenerative arthritis, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis as well as hives, asthma and allergy. Doctor Chen was a research fellow of the Department of Internal Medicine at UBC and is the Vice-President of the British Columbia Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Alliance. In the recent years, Doctor Chen has presented papers regarding arthritis, fibromyalgia and rheumatoid diseases in foreign rheumatoid journals; including: Arthritis & Rheumatology, Annals of the Rheumatic Diseases, Journal of Rheumatology etc. Thus he participated in forming the 2015 World Gout Diagnosis Guidelines, 2013 Taiwan Gout Introduction and joined Taiwan’s Fibromyalgia Consultation Committee to promote health education regarding fibromyalgia.
