中國醫藥大學附設醫院與外交部共同促成「關島人道醫療包機」，在全球COVID-19疫情的嚴峻考驗下，展現「Taiwan is helping! CMUH is helping!」的正能量。其中一名搭此包機來台的251公斤關島病人Latisha Gurerro（簡稱Latisha）由中國附醫贊助她2萬美元的醫療費用，她在中國附醫完成內科治療與困難減重手術，已減重20公斤，避免持續增重帶來的生命威脅。外交部北美司徐佑典司長特應邀到院探訪病人並感謝醫院以實際行動落實草根外交；Latisha術後開心道謝：「謝謝台灣政府！謝謝中國附醫！幫助我開啟另一個美麗人生」。

CMUH joined forces with the MOFA in making the ‘Guam humanitarian medical charter flight’ a reality. Under the stringent test of the global COVID-19 pandemic, the positive energy of ‘Taiwan is helping! CMUH is helping!’ has been brought to life. The Director General of North American Affairs of the MOFA, Douglas Yu-tien Hsu, who was especially invited to the hospital to visit patients, expressed his gratitude to the hospital for taking concrete actions in Grassroots Diplomacy.
